Too much color, maybe

This much color is a bit more "over the top" than what even I like, but I wanted to use HTD and don't currently have much selection in size 10, which is what the original pattern was done in. Oh, and I discovered out that size 10 DMC Cordonnet Special is thinner than size 10 Flora. Started this necklace from my own "Vision" pattern, and then discovered that I actually had size 20 on one shuttle and size 10 on the other - oh, good grief!
This discrepancy did not seem to cause any major problems so far, though, and since the size 20 shuttle was nearing empty anyway, I changed at that point to size 10 on both shuttles.

The 2nd photo shows the second half of the necklace getting started. Will show the finished necklace when I get it done. Still waiting for the March/April issue of "Belle Armoire" to get to the magazine rack at my local Barnes and Noble bookstore. Wish now that I hadn't given up my subscription...

...well, I didn't know they were going to publish my necklace!

I think the color looks great! I love the Hello, Kitty safety pin... great color matching!

I think the colours will work. I see someone wearing it in the spring with a plain white shirt, sure would catch everyone's attention.

I love the colors, but then you know how I feel about this particular thread! I think it will be lovely and I agree with Clyde that in Spring with a plain white shirt, it will be very striking. I have been looking for the magazine as well. Maybe soon.

Thank you very much! Now all I have to do is find a white shirt....

Or, you could sell it to me!

Frankly, it makes me think of raspberry & lime sorbets & right now it's way too cold to be drooling over sorbets. I think that the colors are very springlike and would look great as the 'note of interest' to keep an outfit from looking blah.

I can see wearing it over black, as a wish for spring. Something that I can really sympathize with right now.

Tattycat, I'm glad you like it, but this particular necklace is going to be mine :-) I do intend to get a few more made for my Etsy shop.

Sewicked, the sorbet comparison sounds really yummy! And I am certainly wishing for spring!
