Classical fantasy

Yep, that's me playing cello in the photo, wearing one of TotusMel's bracelet originals, "Happiness in Slavery".

Confession: I did have this grandiose fantasy about looking fabulously glamorous while performing incredible feats of musical skill - fantasy, yeah right. LOL!

Actually, I am only an amateur player and a rather weak one at that. To my dismay, I've discovered while practicing with the bracelet that it distracts and hampers my concentration just enough to mess up my playing - and believe me, it doesn't take much at all to mess up my playing, LOL. I've also tried it on my bow hand, but was surprised to discover how much my wrist flexes when I wield the bow, and so must remain au natural.

But, I am still proud to own a genuine TotusMel Original, and the bracelet will look fabulously glamorous at the orchestra banquet, and any other party event I attend. The bracelet is beautifully, impeccably made, and has given me a new appreciation for the different, softer feel of a needle tatted piece.

The bracelet looks so elegant on you while you are playing your cello. It is a very unique piece of tatting!!

I can see how it might be a distraction while playing, but the picture looks really classical! You should make a large copy and frame it - it would make a great piece of art for the music room. You could call it "Slave to the Music" or some such thing.

I'm so glad that you like the bracelet! Sorry that it's distracting though.

Carol, thanks much - I think it looks elegant, too!

Tattrldy, what a great idea and fabulous title! Yes, you have it captured exactly - I do sometimes feel like a "slave to the music"!

TotusMel, I love the bracelet! It will be fun seeing all the people "distracted" by it at get-togethers.

slave to the music or slave to tatting? or both? tattrlady is right, that's a beautiful picture and needs to be framed and hung somewhere. You hand looks so elegant with the bracelet.

LOL, victats, I don't think I qualify as a slave to tatting because I actually do make a little money from tatting (grin).
Thanks much for the compliments!

It looks very beautiful on you. Shame that it hampers your playing. Anyway, the photo is lovely and I'm sure you will get to wear it lots of other places. I like Tattrldy's idea of framing the picture!

I love the way it looks on you. Very elegant. I too like tattridy's idea.
Thank you for "turning me" onto another tatting place to purchase items. I think this piece would look beautiful at one of my evening events.

It looks like such a perfectly romantic scene! I wish I had a reason to wear something like this and the hands to show it off properly.

Thank you Donna. I agree that tatted accessories are truly elegant, and it's worthwhile to support talented tatting artists.

Gina, maybe an evening out to attend a concert would be an occasion? (A little plug for your local musicians here, LOL)

Thanks, Valerie, I do have to admit that I am pleased with the look.

That looks so wonderful on your wrist and the composition of the whole picture is also lovely. Too bad it is distracting!

Well...maybe if I practice more with it on, I might get used to it....

What a very cool way to express both of your amazing talents together! Even tho' it's not your tatting it still expresses your appreciation and love for the beautiful art of tatting.
