Inspired by a "Peace" rose

Pink to peach to very pale yellow, the "Peace" batch of hand dyed thread (and a few skeins of laceweight yarn) is now dry, photographed, and in my Etsy shop. I improvised lighting for the photos with a florescent light shown through a frosted plastic wastebasket, since the daylight around here has been so cloudy and dark - we've had more snow.

The winners!

The lucky names that were drawn (using a random number generator) are:

Cindy, winner of the "Summer Trail" HDT,
Diane, winner of the "Wondrous Window" tatted pendant,
Martha, winner of the "Tigereye" HDT,

and since so many entered this giveaway, I drew a 4th winner, which turned out to be:
Anonymous who commented, "I would love to enter this." The prize for this person is 2 skeins of size 20 from my current HDT batch, "Peace".

Congratulations to all the lucky winners! I'll be contacting you.

Thank you to everyone who entered! I enjoyed reading each and every comment, and I'm happy to know that so many enjoy visiting this blog. I'll do another giveaway sometime in the future.

Extremely very early spring giveaway

The area of the planet where I live is currently in the dead of winter, with no signs of spring as far as I can see...but we have hope! Anyhow, here are the prizes I'm offering:

One winner will receive two skeins of my size 20 hand dyed 6 cord cotton thread in "Summer Trail" colorway;

Another winner will receive one of my original "Wondrous Window" tatted pendants;

Third winner will receive a "big and little" set of two skeins "Tigereye" hand dyed - a size 3 pearl cotton and a size 100 cordonnet.

Just leave a comment on this post to have a chance to win.
NOTE: If you have your own blog, your comment will automatically link back to you. If you don't have a blog, please leave your email address so that I'll have a way to contact you if you win.

I'll choose 3 winners on Monday, February 22, using a random number generator.

Stardate 1002.06 - experiments

NEW original designs!
It's a mystery where design ideas come from - usually I just play around until something happens that I like. For those who have been after me to get going on another book, well... I made it as far as making a new folder on my computer - one small step at a time, you know.

More "Stardate" has been listed in my Etsy shop, in several different types of thread as well as the laceweight wool/silk blend yarn.
