Discovery World Artisan Market - tatting at my table

Holiday Artisan Market coming up this weekend, December 1 and 2.

I have a table in this event and will be tatting in between sales of my tatted jewelry and hand dyed thread. I may bring a few snowflakes, too. I have another new snowflake design and there's a sneak peek at it in photo at left. No pattern prepared yet, as I am busy getting projects finished for the show.

After this, the shows will be done for a while. Then I hope to have time to write up some more patterns, dye more thread, etc.

Went to the funeral of a cousin this past weekend, and so I have been reflecting on how short our time is here, and about making a difference in the lives of others while we have the chance. I don't know how much difference I make, but for sure you wonderful blog readers have made a HUGE difference in helping this shy tatter to feel that I have a purpose, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

You make a lot of difference in people lives. Your inspiration and blogging as well as sharing ideas and techniques helps tatters around the world. You are the main reason I have gotten back into tatting after a 20 year leave.

You make a huge difference! Your contributions to the the tatting world are wonderful and encourage me to stretch my talents. And the beauty of your HDT is enough to put me in bankruptcy. I love working with your threads, they are so pleasing to the eye!

So thank you for being you!

You give so much inspiration and without your wonderful blog I think a lot of bloggers get so much from your blog. Your patterns are a delight and your threads are lovely, I just wish I could buy some, but with postage to the UK it adds a lot on the price of thread.
Your tatting course has been a inspiration, ok I am not a beginner but I needed some help to bring me up to date with new ideas and methods, when I learnt we did not use beads and with your help I feel I can add beads with confidence.
Thank you
Margaret

I hope you have a wonderful time this weekend! I am so pleased that I get to see you as often as I do, and I know that part of the reason I have learned so much about tatting is because of the inspiration I have received from my blog buddies, especially you!

I'm sorry to read about the loss of your cousin. A death in the family does tend to make us think a little more deeply about relationships.

I am new to tatting, your blog and your classes but what I have learned, done and seen is so much fun!
I am so sorry for your loss. That does have a way of bringing us up short.
I hope you have a successful weekend and lots of fun as well.
A new admirer :)

I am so happy there are blogs like yours about tatting! I've learnt everything about tatting through blogs. And there are no people among my family and friends who are interested in the technique. So yes you definitely make a difference.
