Video: Pearl tatting, adding thread with Lark's Head knot, rings thrown off each side

My latest video shows how I do pearl tatting; there are, of course, other ways. I plan to link to the video in my new bracelet pattern, which at the time of this writing is still in progress.

Also shown in the video is the technique of adding on a new thread to the base of a ring with a Lark's Head knot, and tatting over the tail end. I put it in there because I use that technique in the bracelet, and I like it.

Just making the video has helped me to remember which side of the pearl tatting has the stitches in reverse order, to keep both sides looking the same. If this video helps someone else too, that would be wonderful.

Brilliant!!! So perfectly done, and camera work is exceptional. So easy and clear to see what you're doing! It is mesmerizing to watch your hands manipulate the shuttles and thread.

This is such an attractive use of pearl tatting! I've also never seen the un-flipped knots done in an upright position, only the 'upside down' position. And you even make the rings FS/BS! Amazing attention to detail! You have so much talent!

What a great video! Thank you so much for showing how to do the pearl tatting. I never would have thought to start the thread with a lark's head knot but it makes perfect sense when I can see it "in person". :)

This is great, you always make directions so clear and that is what makes them the best!

A Spanish translation is a good idea. I do have some friends that live nearby who speak both Spanish and English very well. I will ask them when I next see them, for help to translate my patterns.

Great video & technique ! Very easy to follow & the trick with lark's head knot is superb :-)
I love how you've used pearl tatting to create a decorative central band to throw off rings, etc. Thank you for sharing it :-)

We did something similar while converting macrame into tatting & called it Twist Work in Reverse Stitch, a few months back. And here, the reverse st was done from both sides along a chain. I did a pictorial about it on my blog. I hope you see it whenever you find the time. Your feedback is truly valuable.

The video really helped. I have the bracelet pattern, but it didn't really make sense until I watched the video. You work at just the right speed to make following along easy, and the notes you added to the video really helped a lot. I'm having trouble with tension, but now that I've seen how you tatted it I think I know how to improve.
