And it's lovely to see a little peek of my "Romantique" shuttle there in the corner....
Oh, and I'll be getting your new book and would be delighted if you could sign it for me.
Thank you!Joëllehttp://www.etsy.com/shop/LaCossettenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073604165170267945.post-9789576348776348222010-07-22T14:54:52.516-05:002010-07-22T14:54:52.516-05:00This is simply wonderful! I've made ornements from it and heaven help you if you drop them, unless they are tiny! None of my earrings made it through the first wearing...sigh.
BTW, I LOVE your new book! Got my copy the other day! The polymer clay thickness is between 3mm to 4mm and thicker where ornamentation is added on top. I like to use a size 10 or size 20 in a 6-cord (cordonnet) thread. That is a good strong thread. Tatting with a tight tension helps with keeping everything snug and firm. I haven't noticed problems with stretching in this type of work before.

I'm proud to say that Belle Armoire Jewelry published an article written by me, on the subject of combining polymer clay with tatting in their Winter 2009 issue:
http://www.stampington.com/html/ba_jewelry_winter09.htmlMarilee Rockleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11229319055877477637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073604165170267945.post-42315682768811706752010-07-19T20:52:11.305-05:002010-07-19T20:52:11.305-05:00Gorgeous! I just got my copy of the book and will be trying out the "Five Petal Pendant" tonight while watching "Pride and Prejudice." :-) But my favorite pattern from the book is definitely the "Beguile Set" - the colors you used are absolute perfection, as is your tatting and the beautiful color pictures.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05541621843343282192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073604165170267945.post-45744647250778654242010-07-19T17:53:15.525-05:002010-07-19T17:53:15.525-05:00Salut, tes travailles sont merveilleuses...trés or...Salut, tes travailles sont merveilleuses...trés originaux...trés, trés belle...maria vinagrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02112525523130110407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073604165170267945.post-59380065780440914312010-07-19T17:28:49.793-05:002010-07-19T17:28:49.793-05:00Oh my gosh that is going to be absolutely adorable...Oh my gosh that is going to be absolutely adorable, I just love it you are so talented!Typstattinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12271407293785706668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073604165170267945.post-66583663184323136682010-07-19T13:54:14.326-05:002010-07-19T13:54:14.326-05:00wow! so good idea!! Congratulations!
I think the tatting and polymer clay look gorgeous, but I'm wondering how heavy the clay is, and will it cause the tatting to stretch? It would be perfect for an embellishment.Suztatshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15703965965474209546noreply@blogger.com
