I am working on a pattern...

...for the book! The only hint I will give now is this photo which will probably appear in the final version. The item will be something wearable. I will explain how to add beads as best I can. People add beads in different ways, I can only show how I do it.

By the way, for those following my hand dyed thread colors, there will not be a new dye batch till next week; I need time to make some progress on the book.

  4. Hi Marilee. I'm not very good at tatting with beads, but was inspired by your dyed thread. I am also a spinner and knitter, and have spent many, many hours stirring knitting yarns in a dyepot. When I saw your threads, it was one of those 'Why didn't I think of that?' moments and I dashed home and dyed some threads for tatting. Now I'm an addict!!

I also love your little bookmarks, flowers and butterflies. Would you mind if I made some for sale? It will be in the real world, in Zimbabwe, not online.

  5. I have given permission for everyone to use my patterns to make items to sell, that statement is on the index page of
    my pattern website
People only need to ask permission if they want to make a lot of copies of my pattern pages to distribute.
I'm thrilled that people from all over the world are enjoying my tatting ideas! By all means, do make them, sell them, get people curious about how they were made. Soon we won't hear any more "lost art" comments, because tatting will be as popular as knitting!
