Ok, I know that many of you are anxiously waiting for the book to be done - it's nearly there!
I had not been aware of the many details in preparing a book until I tried to do my own. So I have gained a deeper appreciation for all the hard work done by the authors of books!
The photo is just a "slice" of one necklace that will be included. It is the same one that I was working on in the last post, and I have decided to call this necklace design "Duchess".
Patterns included in the book will be 2 necklaces, 1 pendant, 4 earrings, 1 bracelet, all of which use beads, with hints on working with beads as well. Also some patterns which don't use beads: 1 bookmark, 1 hair ribbon (which could also be a bookmark), and 1 snowflake. There are over 60 color photos! Oh, and the book will be entitled, "Boutique Tatting".
I will get back to hand dyeing thread when the book is put to rest. Next on the dye list, "Sugar Maple"!
I have awarded you the I Love Your Blog Award. Check out my blog for details. http://clydep-themadtatter.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteSo many little details huh? Putting together a book is an artform in and of itself. Your book sounds really exciting and very well balanced.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
Both your book and Sugar Maple sounds very good - can't wait for them. Btw - can you HDT your Tiger Eye? I just love the colorway.
ReplyDeleteI have also given you the I Love Your Blog Award. Check it out and feel free to pass if you are too busy!
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful. Can't wait for the book!!!
ReplyDeleteGee whiz, 2 awards! Thanks, Clyde and Tattycat. I will accept!
ReplyDeleteLadyShuttleMaker, you are so right about putting together a book being another art form. I enjoy the artsy part, but the technical stuff...yuck!!! Not my cup of tea.
Zarina, I will be doing some dyeing this week! Maple Sugar, Tourmaline, and Tigereye are on the list!
Tattingchic, I have all my pages on a disc now!!! Taking it to the printer on Monday. Keep your fingers crossed!
To the printer on Monday? Wow. How exciting! I know you are on pins and needles to see how it will come out. If it is your usual quality, we will all be very happy.
