Here's my attempt to capture the essence of a Sugar Maple leaf in its autumn colors. This current batch has a bit more color in it than last year's.
My "Beginning Bead Tatting" made it to the "Bead & Button" events calendar!
At the same shop, Bead Needs, another teacher is holding a class on Precious Metal Clay, and I signed myself up as a student in that one. I'll be able to make something I can use in my tatted jewelry, and talk up my own class at the same time! Yep, and the PMC teacher has seen my tatted jewelry and expressed interest in signing up for my class herself. So I'm working on drumming up more interest, in order to get these classes going.
You did a wonderful job capturing the essence. Isn't Autumn a glorious time of year?
ReplyDeleteThat is soooo gorgeous! How could you? LOL! I must have....NOW! I rec'd a slew of beautiful threads that I ordered from you and now this! Hmmmmppppffff...
ReplyDeleteHi Marilee, The sugar maple looks perfect and next weekend I am taking a class in Celtic Maple Leafs being offered at The Fringe Tatting Day by Ruth Perry. The precious metal clay class sounds like it would be fun.
ReplyDeleteThe sugar maple is gorgeous. You really did do a wonderful job capturing it. It's my favorite time of year along with Lady Shuttle Maker. Congratulations on the classes and the new class to take.
ReplyDeleteYour Sugar Maple thread is beautiful! Now I feel like going for a drive to see the leaves change... in a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteLadyshuttlemaker and tattycat, I agree that autumn is a glorious time of year - the pretty colors help make up for the fact that winter's approaching!
ReplyDeleteTattingchic, it looks like you have become a HDT addict, LOL!
Wow, Clyde, that sounds like a wonderful class you are going to take. I'll be looking for your Celtic Maple Leaf.
Diane, maybe during your autumn drive you'd get as far as Kenosha on Oct. 11? The Lighthouse Lacers Guild has a meeting that day! I plan to attend.
Lovely colours, just about the only autumn maples I see are my bonsai! and they are beginning to turn.
ReplyDeleteAnd I got my very own Sugar Maple HDT from you yesterday! I lurve it. (and the resupply of Rhubarb Pie.) And I'm crazy about your book!
ReplyDeleteHappy happy joy joy!
Tatskool, that is so cute that bonsai do everything the same as other trees, just smaller.
ReplyDeleteSandra e, sounds like you're really happy with your purchases! So glad to hear it :-D
