I made this funky, colorful heart in polymer clay, with holes around the edge for joining a lacy edging. So far I've tatted all the way around the heart, using rings and chains in size 10. Now, to decide what to do next. I want to finish this as a necklace.
HOW AWESOME!

ReplyDeleteWow! Your tatting is just exquisite. When you hand dyed the yarn you took tatting up a notch, when added beads it became thrilling, now your beautiful tatting is totally over the top with the polymer clay! I do recall you did a freeform clay heart something in a mag around this time a year ago?
ReplyDeleteOh my, I'm not sure I can complete the necklace finishing well enough to do justice to all these wonderful comments! Anyway, yes, I did have an article published about combining polymer clay with tatting in Belle Armoire Jewelry Winter 2009.
