Usually I shy away from multicolored threads when I want the unusual shape of the item to be the main focus, but I'm pleased with how these turned out. I used my hand dyed "Summer Trail" to make them.
The earrings look great in Summer Trail! I still love that thread color, and could just kick myself for using it all on a doily when it would have been prettier as an accent.
That thread looks great in that design. I really admire how carefully you plan your thread so that the two pieces are so closely matched. I've noticed that in other pieces you've tatted as well.
Oh, how beautiful! I love your craft. It's so unusual and every piece I've seen just flows. Your colored threads are to die for. Ellen Norman www.outtamyheadknits.com
Thank you all very much! To get them to match, I just sort of took note of where in the color progression I had started on the first one, and tried to start the 2nd one at the same color...and got lucky, I guess! It might not work the next time :)
Very nice! You even matched where the colors come in!

ReplyDeleteI like the way it turnes out. Must have had some calculations involved to get the colours to match each other like that.
ReplyDeleteOh they are gorgeous, I love them and I love the colour.

Lovely! I LOVE the colors and the way you matched them. Is the pattern for sale someplace?
ReplyDeleteLindaJo, thank you and I'm glad you like the design. I don't have the pattern written up yet.
