This is the design from the previous post, finished. It's my 2nd attempt, since the first one didn't quite fit together right. I adjusted the stitch count a bit, and now I'm very pleased with the result. A plan to write up the pattern along with another medallion design is in the works.
I happy to announce that I've been accepted into TAFA: The Textile and Fiber Art List. I'm the first tatter represented there, so I consider it quite an honor. Click to see my TAFA profile.
Well done and congratulations.

ReplyDeleteYou're sure busy these days - and a well deserved new membership in a prestigious artistic fiber group. Your credentials are so impressive! Excellent photo, too! So pleased that you're their first tatting artist! I really don't know how you keep up with family, tatting, and music!
Thanks, everyone. I really don't keep up with everything, just whatever I can manage. Whatever doesn't get done today, well, maybe tomorrow, or maybe never, whatever.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! That is so prestigious. You deserve the recognition.

And you where gob smocked at Tat Days at all the attention you got, silly girl. You just don't realize what a treasure you are to the tatting world! Nice to see other people recognize your talents! Congrats on the acceptance . Love the necklace too.
ReplyDeleteYour patterns are so wonderful! Congratulation to be on that list, I have never heard of it, but it´s good that tatters is seen on different places!

ReplyDeleteMarie in Graham
So pretty, you do amazing work.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations with TAFA.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful medaillon, again! Your work do like if you weave some irondread in it; so nice round are your rings. How do you do that? Please can you tell me??
Yvonne in the Netherlands.
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYvonne, the center ring is actually a "mock ring" (a chain that has been closed back on itself). So, that helps to make it rounder, I think. Also, the bead being in there is helping to make it round.
Oh, and here's the video of making the mock ring with the bead in the middle: http://youtu.be/Nc76iyNkN2o
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Marilee!!
