I've been closed captioned!

Screenshot of Shuttle Tatting course showing closed captioning
Even folks who aren't hearing impaired may find the closed captioning helpful, as I've been told my voice is very quiet in spite of the microphone. Some of the words in the closed captioning aren't quite right, but mostly they pass along the information okay.

  1. I wish they would put it in the list, there are some lovely pieces of tatting on craftsy and it would be nice for visitors to find it.

  2. I didn't realize that I could post pictures on Craftsy. I thought I could only post pictures related to a class. Good to know!

  3. It seems that there isn't enough tatting on there yet for them to put it on the subject list. I wonder if people think they have to sign up for a class? They don't.

  4. This is very informative! We really must encourage Craftsy to make tatting a separate subject! You've certainly done YOUR part!

Interesting to know they have done CC for your video! Very professional! Closed captioning has always been an interest of mine. I 'listen' to TV more often than 'watch' it, and the captioning helps if I missed something!

Again, I love that location of Discovery World - right on the lake!!!

  5. that is great! Yes, you have a soft spoken manner on the classes.

I used headphones + it helped.

And, again, awesome earrings ; )

  6. I'm new to tatting, but am loving it! Just started your class - you are an excellent teacher.

Love the "doodads" - where do you get those?

    Thanks!

  7. The "doodads" that I used were given to me by a friend, but I think they are the same as the 20x20mm single-sided diamonds available from Fire Mt. Gems in several finishes: http://www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/H205130FY

  8. I shop online. Some favorite shops include Handy Hands Tatting www.hhtatting.com/ and Be-stitched at www.be-stitchedstore.com just to name a few.

  9. I just bought myself a tatting shuttle and going to give it a go.
I wish they had it on craftsy because I would have joined up for sure,I didn't know they had a course going untill I typed in tatting. Have to wait now as I joined some other class.

  10. If more people would post tatting projects on Craftsy, the Craftsy staff might give tatting its own category, or at least have a lacemaking category, instead of burying it under crochet :-(
