Down to the last few

At this point in time, I've gotten as far as starting to write up the last 2 patterns that I intend to include. This morning I had a fleeting moment of starting to lose confidence that the last pattern, "Toccata Necklace" was any good, and briefly considered leaving it out. Then, I realized that the finished necklace was already included in the photo montage of projects on the inside front cover. So, it's staying in. I attribute the fleeting moment of feeling inadequate to "holiday overload".

Will keep plodding away on the book, which will be all tatted jewelry patterns, and hope to finish it in early 2014!

  6. I am not a Tatter, YET....it is a goal to become one in 2014. And, from the looks of the pictures, I can look forward to tatting some beautiful items.

  8. I'm ready with my order. Put me down for 4 hard copies and a pdf copy. I have to show how nice the pieces I made look together. Can't wait to make the rest.

  9. Hello. I am interested in doing your Craftsy class. As I have never done tatting before I just wanted to ask about the shuttles. Which one do I need to start off with. Is there a size I need.
Looking forward to learning and trying some of your projects.
    Kind regards
    Lisa

  10. @Lisa Whyte, the shuttles that you see in the pictures on this post are "Clover" brand shuttles. I usually start beginners out on those, because they're very economical, and also they're my personal favorite :)
After people start tatting, they usually get the urge to try a few different kinds of shuttles, and in that way they then discover their own personal favorites.

I see from your profile that you live in the UK, so for you it may be easier to shop from Roseground http://www.roseground.com/

  11. Could I also just ask, how many Shuttles do I need to start with to do your craftsy class.

  12. You can start learning to tat with just one shuttle, and there are many tatting patterns that can be done using just 1 shuttle and a ball of thread. But for the more complex patterns 2 shuttles are needed.

  15. I'm relatively new to tatting but I'm loving it. Looking forward to your new book, as I like combining tatting with beads.
