So many beautiful projects, and all done this year! Depending on the brand and where it was made, I have also learned that thread size [pick any size] is not necessarily what you expect when you change to a different manufacturer. I do little samples in every thread - one pattern, always the same (I use the small heart pattern in Patti Duff's "Minitats" book), and compare a new-to-me thread with the others in my little sample book to be sure the new thread matches the others of that size. All the hearts are arranged by size. If a thread's LABEL says '50' but it matches the size 30 threads in my book, it goes in the 'size 30' section. All the hearts have a little write-up - name, size, how well they work for tatting (some don't work as well as others), and any other information I think I may need in the future. It saves a lot of time when you're tatting something that needs to fit - like a hat. For me, trying a new-to-me thread requires a 'swatch,' just like when you're knitting or crocheting. (Hope this helps someone else to avoid tatting almost the whole hat before discovering it would make a good cover for their car. It was HUGE!) Anyway, your projects - as always - are gorgeous, and I enjoy seeing the things you create.

Thank you, everyone! It seems that we've all had a very busy year. An update: my "Leaves of Lace Garland" did not make it into the first exhibition that I entered, but I've just kept going and have entered it into a different one. ☺
