Snow is still in the forecast where I live, but leaf tips from springtime flowers are beginning to emerge from the ground.
Time for a giveaway!
For a chance to win a matching set of 5 sizes of hand dyed thread (Sizes 10, 20, 40, 80, and embroidery floss) plus a copy of my book "Tatted Jewelry", leave one comment on this post to be entered in the giveaway. Three winners will be chosen at random on Leap Year Day, Monday, February 29. Be sure there's a way for me to contact you if you win, either a blog I.D., or an email address, otherwise I'll just draw the next name.
Readers of this blog from outside of the U.S.A. are welcome to enter this giveaway. The package will be marked "gift".
Such beautiful colors! I would like to be included in your giveaway. Wish I could send some of our warmth to you - we've had to use the air conditioner for a few hours during the warmest part of the day a few times already - it gets much too warm indoors otherwise. Love your recent posts - the jewelry is gorgeous. StephanieW (trompeter914 [at] hotmail [dot] com)
Oh wow, oh wow! Please enter me, your color ways are so luscious, especially pansy. I already own your book but I know at least three other tatters who would benefit from your largesse!
This is such a nice "give away". I have tatted two necklaces using your blackbird size 20 and another one in your corsage size 20. All are very pretty. Thank you for offering this and I would love to win.
Wow! What a wonderful giveaway!! We're expecting more snow arriving over the next week, with perhaps a bit of freezing rain thrown into the mix, so what better way to ignore the weather than with some new gorgeous thread. Love these colours. Hope spring comes your way soon.
It's very fantastic giveaway !!! I love your threads. Those are wonderful. Greetings from Poland :-) Marille from http://marilles-crochet.blogspot.com/
We are just missing a storm here in Eastern Iowa. Very muddy right now, SO ready for spring! Love the colors of thread! Contact jjswegener at msn dot com Thank you!
I would love to enter for these gorgeous threads! I think someone was commenting just the other day that there hadn't been any giveaways for a while, so this one will be fun.
Please enter me into your very generous giveway draw. I would love to be able to tat using one of your beautifully coloured threads. Thank you Anne - mikeannechihuahua@ntlworld.com
You know how I feel about your thread- love it! That's why have as much as I do! Would love to win. Will keep figures crossed, which is hard to do and tat at same time.
That's a very generous giveaway - I hope you pick me! I'm not a great tatter, but I'm learning. And I know that having good tools makes anything easier, so clearly I need to have some great thread!
I would love to be entered in the very early spring give away! I purchased your book and loved it, but it is lost some where in my sisters house and she is too sick to find it and I live a state away. So if I don't get chosen I will just have to buy another one! ;) The colors are lovely and you can reach me at jsvland@gmail.com
I hope to have some luck. All these sets are beautiful, I can imagine some new tatted jewelery... I'm dreaming of your book! http://kasiaen.blogspot.com, kasian79@o2.pl
Your hand dyed threads were my first experience with a good quality tatting tread - sooo much better than anything I've used before (which was mostly used crochet thread from the local thrift store). Beautiful giveaway, count me in :)
Oh, my goodness! What a spectacular giveaway! It's not surprising to see this great response! Thank you for your generosity! kathynik at verizon dot net.
I would love to be entered in your marvelous giveaway! Your threads are just delicious. I would love to tat with them. Your generosity is much appreciated. Hélène.
I've been going through your Craftsy class and now seeing your giveaway of delicious thread and a copy of some of your patterns! How lucky are we, in the tatting world, to have you?! Thank you!
I would love to try hand dyed thread. As a new tatter I'm yet to find which thread weight I like best and your tatted jewlery book is on my wish list. Thank you for such a wonderful give away and including people outside the USA. tahlia-deegan@hotmail.com
I've loved learning tatting from you on Craftsy and I think your thread colors are gorgeous. The pond set is my favorite, because I'm always partial to cool tones and neutrals.
Primavera, maravillosa época del año. Aquí en Chile estamos más cerca del otoño, pero me encantaría que me incluya en su sorteo de primavera, los hilos son realmente lindos y también me gustarí una copia de su libro. Gracias por la oportunidad.
I'm working on the "Vision" tatted necklace, only in a varigated blue/purple thread with placing matching seed beads wherever there are any beads since I was too impatient to wait to go out again to purchase medium & large beads. You see, I'm on vacation visiting my son, daughter-in-law & my first granddaughter, & I got the tatting bug. All you tatters know what I mean. You get the itch to tat & just have to do something about it, like right now. It's like your hands start to need to work on a tatting project, any tatting project, anything other then to remain idle. Well, like I said, that darned bug bit me last week, all of my tatting supplies were back at home in Florida, and I wasn't willing to wait days for delivery by purchasing supplies through the internet. I had to do something quick, but... What to do?! Tried the local Micheal's (they apparently don't carry shuttles in store anymore), JoAnn's (forget about it) & finally was able to find a limited variety of shuttles, needles & usable threads to work with at Hobby Lobby (never had stepped in one before my daughter-in-law took me there). Bought beads to match my threads at JoAnn's, but despite having enough goodies to get started, another problem loomed, figuratively, of course. I still needed a project, hopefully something to challenge me, make me think a little, or I was going to have to wing it & create my own pattern. Well, I put my new iPad Pro into service to search the internet for some inspiration or, even better yet, a pre-tested pattern to put into service immediately. After quite a bit of initial frustration, I soon happened upon your site/blog. Bingo. Just what I needed, a breath of fresh air, as well as a beautiful & easy to understand pattern which matched my purchases to boot. I am really enjoying the variety of techniques used in the 'Vision' design, & just to make it a little more interesting, I decided to tat the design with a needle & tiny ball rather than using the two shuttle method. It's going extremely well. To put it lightly, I'm happy as a clam, and I have just about completed the left side of the necklace. Thank you so very much. You saved my vacation.
And yes, of course, I'm in as far as the drawing. I'd really love to get my hands some of those gorgeous threads as well as your book. Wow! Positively breathtaking colors, absolutely beautiful. I can see you that hear that all the time. Looks like everyone else wants to win too, so I'm guessing my chances are pretty slim, but here goes... sherylannlaw at yahoo dot com My fingers are crossed
I first learned how to tat many years ago when I was just a young girl (I'm now 83)but with the passing of years it got shoved to the back of my life until I saw an ad for your 1st shuttle tatting class on Craftsy so I decided to take it and then your 2nd class. I love the things you make and the thread that you dye in such gorgeous colors. I think I now have most of your books, several of which I downloaded from your website or wherever it was that I saw them. I don't always remember. lol I hope that you come out with another class with split ring and a few other advanced things. I especially love the bead work necklaces and ear rings. lfarrug@aol.com
How exciting! I'm thrilled I popped in to catch up on my tatting blog reading before the deadline. You can reach me through my blog or at tatknot at yahoo dot com.
Trying one more time! I never can seem to leave comments these days. Your thread is beautiful as always and I would love to play with some of course! :-) I wanted to say how intrigued and fascinated I am by your latest work with the wire wrapping and tatting combined. They are lovely, I do a bit of both types of work and never would have thought to combine the two beyond making my own findings...truly an inspired idea and I love seeing what you are doing with that!
