Wire and Tatting Pendant
Helma Siepmann but wanting to do a jewelry piece instead of attaching the tatting to fabric, I chose to make a wire frame for a pendant.
I've shown my process in this video.
It's a fun way to tat in a free form, organic manner without any pattern, just encapsulation techniques.
I teach some encapsulation techniques in my Craftsy class, "Next Steps In Shuttle Tatting", here's my affiliate discount link: www.craftsy.com/ext/MarileeRockley_5188_H
But, the wire wrapping part I do not teach, since I am only a beginner myself in that area. I recommend the following Craftsy classes for learning to work with wire (these are my affiliate links)
"Start Wire Weaving Cabochon Pendants" by Dawn Horner
"Wire-Wrapped Stones, Crystals, and Clusters" by Aga Kruk
"Make Your Own Wirework Findings" by Lisa Niven Kelly
"Essential Wirework Techniques" by Brenda Schweder
