Lighthouse Lacers tree for raffle

The Lighthouse Lacers finished decorating a tree with handmade lace ornaments, to be donated to the Hospice Alliance, which raffles off the tree. In the past, they have raised up to $1500!

Donations of handmade lace ornaments from non-member lacemakers are gratefully accepted. See the Lighthouse Lacers website for contact information.

What pretty ornaments! There were so many lovely things on that tree! Whoever ends up with that is truly lucky!

Wonderful tree, the only problem is that it means snow is on it's way.

Oh it is so pretty. I hope they'll make a good sum of money from this tree, this is truely a great bargain.

I agree, tattingchic, the ornaments are pretty, and all different because they are made by many people. After the raffle tickets are sold, they draw a lucky winner!

You are right, Diane, it is a wonderful idea, and one of the things I really like about this group.

Clyde, I hear you. It seems like we just got all the snow melted from last winter, and now yet another one is approaching! Not quite yet, though - the tree had to be done early, so that there would be enough time to sell the raffle tickets.

Dantatter, you are right - the winner really is getting a bargain. And, all the money made from the raffle goes to the hospice, to help provide comfort for the terminally ill. Truly a worthy cause.
