Stardate 1001.26

The choice of the name "Stardate" seemed, well, logical for this batch. Set a course for creative tatting...engage!

Oh, BTW, I derived a stardate from today's calendar date by putting the last 2 digits of the year first ("10" from 2010), then the month (01 for January), the dot, then the date. I found the instructions in the book Star Trek Chronology by Michael Okuda and Denise Okuda.

Just felt a little "spacey" today!

It looks like you're "giving her all she's got cap'n"!

Hopefully I'll be able to beam me up some of that thread soon...it's FaB!

It's as breathtaking as space -- I need (not want, need) some of that!

Hmmmmm...do you have cats as well? I am starting to think that most (if not all) tatters are also cat-lovers and Trekkies as well.

Anyway, love the new color! Gorgeous as always!

Lovely thread, saw it on your etsy shop.
Working in International Banking, we are accustomed to using YYMMDD (from greater to lesser) for SWIFT communications. It avoids confusion between countries which practice MMDDYY versus DDMMYY.

Such clever comments :-)
Glad you all found the colors to be "acceptable", LOL.

My HDT comes from a cat-free and smoke-free home. Just no time for pets (except stuffed ones - I have a toy kitty, does that count?)

That's interesting about the International banking - sounds like they are already using "stardates". Wow, we are already living in the future!

Another winner. If I was thread I would hope to be dyed by you.

Oo,oo, oo! This gives me an idea! I'm not thread-dyer [yet] but it seems like a good idea to me, so I'll share. I know a lot of hand dyed threads end up with white spots, right? These are usually mistakes. Well, if you did a dark blue thread with *intentional* white spots through out, when you tat it up, it would look like stars!!!! maybe?

Well, if anyone does figure out the secret for dyeing cotton thread to end up with speckles in it...I don't think it is possible...of course I have been wrong about other "impossible" things!

Gorgeous! And it's good to know I'm not the only Star Trek fan in this craft.
