Parchment

Very subtle shades of beige to white, which I hand dyed with Pro MX Reactive Dye.

Actually, to some folks it may just look like "dirty thread", which to be perfectly honest was my own personal reaction to it as I watched it dry. Anyway, I started an earring with it (Grand Aura from my Up and Tat 'Em book) and I think it will work nicely for the antiqued look.

I will be tatting earrings this week, since my earring display rack has room for 40 pairs, and so far I only have 28 finished. I want a full display for my booth at the Holiday Artisan Market at Discovery World, which is coming up December 4 and 5. So, I will be busy getting ready for that this week.
BTW, the organizer specifically asked if I would be demonstrating tatting. She said, (and I quote)
"It’s always so much fun to watch you do your thing, so that would be great if you can."

Be sure to "do your thing" ~ LOL

The ear rings I ordered and received are so beautiful. My husband is quite taken with my ears now. He really notices finishing touches.
The blues in the hdt are wonderful. Thank you so much. bj

I love the new color! It reminds me of antique elegance especially in that earring design!
And I think it would be awesome to watch you tat too! :)
May your show go well! :)

Doesn't look at all like a dirty thread to me. Especially when used to tat the earring. It looks very classy so far, and I'm sure it will look stunning when finished.
Too bad I live so far away, I'd love to see the demonstration and see you "do your thing...". Have a nice time there.

Well, I don't know if it looks much different in person but from your blog, the thread done in the earring pattern looks very elegant and absolutely perfect. It wouldn't look right with bright red or pink or such but with natural "earth" tones, I think it's the perfect complementary color.

That is awesome that they want you to demonstrate at the Artisan's market! The parchment is lovely!

Thank you all so much.

BJ, I'm glad you are enjoying your earrings!

God's kid and Tat-ie, I don't actually look that awesome when I tat, so you're not missing much :-)

Thanks, Fox! Glad you like it.

Gina, I'm taking your comment as a challenge - LOL - next pair will be bright red ;-D

Oh Yarnplayer, you are too modest. You really look awesome when you tat! I really like how this new color tats up! I think you have another winner. Good luck with the earrings!

The natural colours on the "Parchment" thread are nice, but what I *need* to know is: Is the pattern to the gold and green earrings available?

Thanks! The earring pattern is in my "Boutique Tatting" book.
