Stuff I did this week

  • I worked on writing up new leaf patterns, but nothing is finished yet.
  • I dyed some "Sugar Maple" thread.
  • I went to the Wisconsin State Fair and looked at the craft exhibits, but there wasn't any tatting. (No, I can't enter my own tatting, since I'm considered a "professional crafter" it would be against the rules.)
*******************************
Did I mention that I met "Lamb Chop"?
Yes, you read that right - the legendary TV star puppet Lamb Chop!!!!!!! And Mally Lewis, the daughter of Shari Lewis!
I saw them at a live performance at the fair. It was really exciting for me because I've been a fan of the Shari Lewis TV shows for as long as I can remember, and my kids grew up watching Lamb Chop's Play Along.
And look, I got my picture taken with Lamb Chop and Mally Lewis!

Oh my, that is so awesome. I was always a fan of lamb chop. I even use to do lamb chop with my baby lamb chop. My husband regretted the day he bought baby lamb chop for me...LOL

Oh for the love of Lamb Chop! I loved watching Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop too as a child, and am so pleased to know that Shari's daughter is carrying on the legacy.

And if the Sugar Maple HDTs are being tapped, can Autumn be far behind?

Nice to see you and I can now picture you when I read your blog.
How lovely to meet Lamb chop and have your picture taken,
Beautiful colour threads, what a pity you could not show some of your tatting. Its their loss not yours.

Sugar Maple is one of my favorites, maybe because I love autumn!

When we were little, my dad built us a puppet theater, The Little Green Playhouse for Christmas. Janet received Lamb Chop, and I received Charlie Horse. I can't remember which puppet Lisa had. We would spend hours pretending we were Shari Lewis and friends! Thanks for sparking wonderful memories!

Sugar Maple is soooo pretty!

How fun to meet Lamb Chop and Mally Lewis! I remember getting my daughters Lamb Chop puppets for their Easter baskets one year - and surviving many puppet shows thereafter :)

We loved Lamp Chop in our house too. My daughter is almost 20 and we still have our Lamp Chop puppet. It was her favorite.
Lovely thread color!!

I wasn't a Lamb Chop fan myself and yet I remember crocheting a Lamb Chop puppet for my kids. Nice to see the tradition is still going.

I do remember Lamb Chop over here in the UK.
Muffin the Mule though was my first TV puppet and then there was sooty, must stop there! Pleased you were able to meet up with them.
Love your thread, the colours are so vibrant.

Love Lamb Chop! How cool that you had that encounter. My daughter's fourth birthday party was Lamb Chop themed. I'll have to show her your post later when we are celebrating my grandson's third birthday today.
