A new beaded medallion done

This is the design from the previous post, finished. It's my 2nd attempt, since the first one didn't quite fit together right. I adjusted the stitch count a bit, and now I'm very pleased with the result. A plan to write up the pattern along with another medallion design is in the works.

I happy to announce that I've been accepted into TAFA: The Textile and Fiber Art List. I'm the first tatter represented there, so I consider it quite an honor. Click to see my TAFA profile.

Such a beautiful medalllion! Another wonderful design, tatted with perfection!

You're sure busy these days - and a well deserved new membership in a prestigious artistic fiber group. Your credentials are so impressive! Excellent photo, too! So pleased that you're their first tatting artist! I really don't know how you keep up with family, tatting, and music!

Thanks, everyone. I really don't keep up with everything, just whatever I can manage. Whatever doesn't get done today, well, maybe tomorrow, or maybe never, whatever.

Well done, well done! This (IMHO) has an Arab-esque (think ceramic tiles) feel to it. And I LOVE IT!!!

Congratulations with TAFA.
Very beautiful medaillon, again! Your work do like if you weave some irondread in it; so nice round are your rings. How do you do that? Please can you tell me??

Thanks!
Yvonne, the center ring is actually a "mock ring" (a chain that has been closed back on itself). So, that helps to make it rounder, I think. Also, the bead being in there is helping to make it round.

Oh, and here's the video of making the mock ring with the bead in the middle: http://youtu.be/Nc76iyNkN2o
