No split chain and just one shuttle

I think I've got it!
Just needed to "rotate" my thinking!

So I turned the bead the other way in the mock ring so the threads would be coming out of the top, not the sides - that way I could end off at the top!

The additional side chains even add some stability, I think.

So now the whole thing can be done with one shuttle, and no tricky split chain.

Yep, this one is going in the book!

I hope that some day I can develop enough skill so that I can think like you do! This is amazing! Reserve a book for me, please!

I love it! You are amazing. Put me down for the second book right behind Diane, autographed of course.

Me too (book)! I like this version of the pattern even better than the last.

It just keeps getting better and no split chain to boot. Sounds like a winner to me.

Before I published my first book I had to drastically change many of the patterns to make them as simple to tat as possible.
So I guess I am trying to say that there are "many ways to skin a cat" so to speak.
These are lovely and I would like a book too!
