Goodies

Yes, I did manage to find the beads I needed at the annual Bead Show in Milwaukee, along with some I probably don't need - you know how it is.

The tatted jewelry that I was wearing did receive some admiring looks, compliments, and questions! "Is that micro-macrame?" "Tatting? What is that?" "Oh, a knotted lace form - very cool!"

Anyway, now I will be able to finish the red tatted necklace that I am working on with the white beads. I'll post photos soon of this experiment with a string of beaded mock rings.

This tatted motif (in my HDT "Fern") is one of the smallest snowflakes from Jon's new book. She has very innovative designs, beautifully explained and diagrammed. Highly recommended!

It looks like you had fun at the bead show Marilee. I just know you will come up with a creative use for all of those beads.

I'm glad to see you survived the bead show! Jon's little snowflake in your Fern looks very pretty.

Yes.. we all know how it is, :-)

The colours blend of the 'fern' flows very smoothly in this snowflake. Thank you for the additional note about my book.

Yes, tattycat, I survived the bead show, LOL! - it was a lot of walking.

Jon, your book is really good! I'm glad you like the colors in the snowflake I tried.

LOL...what I want to know is did you get the teardrop bead that broke? That's why you went there in the frist place...LOL.... I didn't even hear or see mention of that bead. That was the whole reason you just HAD to go...LOL
Your bead stash looks wonderful I'm sure you'll put all of them to excellent use...and you did some teaching by wearing your earring while you were there...cool!

Yes, tattingchic, I did find the teardrop beads in an exact match. It was a lucky find! And it sure was fun to be able to explain about how my tatted jewelry was made to the very interested bead vendors and shoppers.

Wow, all those awesome beads in the picture. The snowflake look very pretty and so do the thread you have chosen for it.

Thank you, Dantatter. The beads are mostly seed beads in various sizes, that will be good to use with tatting. I'm glad you like the thread for the little snowflake. It's my own HDT "Fern".

Hi wickedtats, if you don't mind me asking, where, actually, is "here"? Maybe there is something like a bead show where you are.
