A polymer clay heart

This heart is ready for a tatted edging. Joins can be made through the holes, just like a normal (picot) join. I don't have time to make it into a necklace or pin myself, so I'm offering it at my Etsy shop in case anyone would enjoy playing with it as a design element.

I need to dye some more thread in the colors suggested by the bead shop owner, for inclusion in the kits she will offer at her shop in connection with my classes. I'm working on the tatted pendant design that I will teach in the class, and I'll show it when I have some finished examples.

This is so beautiful and would look great in my newly decorated bedroom. I could tat an edge around it and frame it in a shadow box. Humm.....

I love your pieces - but me being an artist myself would love to know how you did it.

Anyway just realized that you are in WI. My dad his doctorate at Uni of WI Madison and we stayed there from 1979 to 1983. I think Madison is a really lovely city (at that time, have not been there since).

That heart is absolutely beautiful. I just love it. I see Laura is eyeing it up there...LOL! Well, I hope she gets it and if she does I wanna see what she does with it... Go for it, TattyCat!

Congratulations on the teaching job Marilee it does not seem like it was that long ago that you where wondering if your tatting business would keep you busy enough. I think you have your answer now.

Glad you like it! A long time ago someone suggested that I do some polymer clay pieces similar to the ones I had made for my own tatted jewelry. I consider that my polymer clay attempts are not so great, but if I just do more of it, I'll get better.

Zarina, I made a striped cane and pinched 1 side, then cut slices for the "petals". I used the clay tools to scallop the edges of the heart.
That is neat that you lived in Wisconsin for a while! I've been to Madison a few times, and yes, it is a lovely city.

Thank you for the encouraging words, tattycat and tatting chic.

Clyde, you know that I am really busy! As long as I can make enough money at my Etsy business to help my family get by, I'll keep doing it.

Marilee - thanks for the info but I don't think I will venture into that.
