"Lavender's blue, dilly, dilly..."

Some blue, anyway - and some light purple, mixed together in this hand dyed Lavender thread. I only dyed a few sizes of Lavender, since I also dyed...

...A large batch of "Garden Afternoon".

Next week or so, I plan to start dyeing some autumn colorways, so nice for making tatted leaves!

Now I'll get back to finishing that butterfly project.

I just love this colour! Sort of like periwinkle, to my eyes.

Hi Marilee,

I absolutely love ALL the colors you produce, but there is something that I just HAVE to ask...

Why do you put a dime in the photo when you do your thread display??

I think it's an interesting concept, maybe I'm missing something but I had never seen that before.

Take care

Beautiful colors. They just sort of take one away to a nicer place looking at them.

Thank you so much, everyone, for the wonderful comments!

The reason I usually have a dime in the photo is just to give a size reference.

Both are very beautiful but the Garden Afternoon colors are magnificent. One of these days I'll get some HDT and give it try. I bet it's fun to tat with.

I just found your blog and I love it! Your threads are beautiful and I love the projects you do. Just ordered your book! I am new to tatting and love it already!
Thanks for such great patterns!
Have a Blessed Day,

Gasp, love the purple. OMG!! Do you have it in size 10 maybe?

Well, one of the drawbacks of HDT is that it is in limited supply. Or, another way of looking at it, that's one of its charms. In other words, if it's not in my Etsy shop, I haven't got any.
