Inspired by visit to Sonoran desert

"Sonoran Stones" hand dyed thread

A visit to the Sonoran desert in Arizona a few weeks ago inspired a new hand dyed thread batch! "Sonoran Stones" is my attempt to capture the colors that I saw while hiking along the nature trails near Phoenix, Arizona. The thread is listed at https://www.etsy.com/shop/yarnplayer

A sampling of stones seen on the desert trails.

Size 80 thread in "Sonoran Stones" colorway.

While in Arizona I visited the Desert Botanical Garden near Phoenix which is amazingly beautiful!
That's me in the Desert Botanical Garden!

Beautiful thread! Dave and I visited that area for our 25th anniversary, and the colors were amazing.

Thank you! This trip was unexpected and planned very quickly. An invitation brought this about. It was from a relative to a 100th birthday party - well, how often does one get to attend a 100th birthday party?!!! So of course we went, enjoyed the party with the amazingly wonderful centenarian aunt - her mind is so sharp, she's jolly, and told a joke at her party that had everyone laughing!♥ We stayed a few extra days to take in the sights. Really loved walking outside in pleasantly warm temperatures!
