Lantana flower and thread are gorgeous. Here there is one kind of lantana that is poisonous to livestock and must be uprooted.

Dave usually brings lantana home for the garden. He's a tropical plant distributor. Either he sold them all or they weren't available this year, because there are none in my garden. It's a good thing you've dyed some thread. I feel like you did it just for me!

Love the colours you've selected. Where I live, lantana is classified as a weed. Have you noticed that lantana has square stems?

As far as I know, the Lantana flowers I saw at the Boerner Botanical Garden in Milwaukee are Lantana Camara, a species of flowering plant within the verbena family (Verbenaceae), native to the American tropics. In our cold northern climate Lantana plants are treated as annuals. I've only ever seen them at the botanical garden, so they're not commonly grown here. I didn't think to notice the stems as I was dazzled by the bright colors of the flower clusters.

So beautiful the colours you dyed, perfect match to the Lantana Citrus colours. I am currently working on your tatting course and finding it intriguing, can't stop tatting. You are such a wonderful and good teacher. Thanks for sharing it with us.
